چکیده

Al2O3 substrate is widely used as a lining refractory material throughout the blast furnace (BF) process. Accordingly, erosion of by molten slag has negative influence on running cost and smooth operation BFs. The effect behavior BF primary containing FeO-CaO-SiO2-MgO-Al2O3 was fundamentally investigated using high-temperature contact angle method FactSage thermodynamic software based composition in typical iron steel enterprise China. results showed that mentioned above easily wetted with substrate, observed angles were 24.5° 22.0°, when FeO mass fraction (w(FeO)) maintained at 10% 15% slag, respectively. Moreover, starting melting temperature high content, 1263 °C, lower. thickness between increased from 19.23 to 23.17 μm added w(FeO) 15%. In addition, it via SEM-EDS analysis interface layer formed, high-melting-point compounds generated during wetting This attributed interaction existing which may have inhibited continuous dissolution into slag. Good surface wettability are two dominant factors leading refractory.

Thermodynamic simulation on mineralogical composition of CaO–SiO2–Al2O3–MgO quaternary slag system

It is necessary to elucidate the crystallization thermodynamic of mineralogical phases during the cooling process of the molten BFS with different chemical composition, because the high-melting point mineral phase maybe crystallized during the fiber forming and thereafter cooling process. Thermodynamic calculation software FactSage6.4 and the hot remelting experiments were performed to explore ...

Experimental Study on the Behavior of TiN and Ti2O3 Inclusions in Contact with CaO‐Al2O3‐SiO2‐MgO Slags

TiN and Ti2O3 are the predominant inclusion types in Ti-alloyed ferritic chromium stainless steels. In order to ensure the required steel cleanness level, an effective removal of such inclusions in the slag during secondary metallurgy is essential. This inclusion removal predominantly takes place via dissolution of the inclusion in the slag. The dissolution behavior of TiN and Ti2O3 in CaO-SiO2...
